   This video is a commercial not an attempt to fake an explosion. My friend made the explosion on computer for the company Reset Film. The video is not from Amsterdam, but in the very centre of Copenhagen in Denmark. The explosion is taken from another place, and then edited to fit into the lake called “Sortedamssø” in Danish. I think it was made for Quicksilver surfing gear.

    Correction: Attempted busted by Mythbuster. Problem is Mythbuster tested it in a 10 metre deep lake – the waters in Copenhagen don’t go over your waist. The intense shockwave from the dynamite combined with the small area the water’s pressed in and the high sides = waves)

    Funny. A friend of mine knows the guy either holding the camera or throwing the dynamite.
    The explosion is very real (Notice how the cars behind starts their alarms, and the falling water) and the reason the waves appear is beacuse of the low water and unability for the energy to fade)
