No comments? No one cares that the man who has brought surfing movies “back to the future” has a new film? The man that dares to feature quality music in his films instead of the regular speed metal normally associated with the genre, that embraces the “ride what you love” philosophy, and generally brings a good vibe to the world, deserves better. Premiers tonight in Encinitas at the La Paloma Theater. With live jazz to start the show. Probably sold out.
Keep surfing.

Very cool!
has anybody seen this one?
opinions?
LowBud, It’s very much in the spirit of Thomas’ other movies. Great music, great surfing, lot’s of positive vibes and slow motion sequences. High-performance and soul surfing are both covered as well as alaias. And the surf contest skit is hilarious (kudos to Rob Machado and Dane Reynolds for their roles as the announcers). Hope that helps.
I saw it last summer and I’ve been looking for a copy since. One of my favorite movies period.Pure magic.
